Whitehall, Michigan 2017 Summer Theater Festival schedule at Howmet Playhouse opens the season with an entertaining array of live theatrical performances. The White Lake area is blessed by the professional, exciting and enthusiastic performers who grace the stage of the historic Howmet Playhouse. Opening night is July 6 and continues through August 19. Performances take place Thursday – Saturday evenings with a variety of theatrical productions each week. The 2017 Summer Theater Festival opens July 6-8 with The Seamstress. Followed by a triple delight on July 13-15 with the talented students of Central Michigan University Summer Theater touring company. One performance nightly includes: For the Love of Juliet on July 13, Twain by the Tale performed on July 14 and wrapping up the weekend is Love/Sick on July 15. Continuing the 2017 summer schedule on July 20-22 is The Birds (I am sure everyone remembers the Alfred Hitchcock movie!) Then July 27-29 brings the wonderful kids of the White Lake Youth Theater to the stage with The Rememberer. The summer perennials of golf and comedy set the stage for Fox on the Fairway, Aug 3-5. In contrast, The Seafarer brings a chilling play about the seas and Irish myth on August 10-12. And the final performance of the 2017 season, wraps up with the rollicking comedy, Exit Laughing on August 17-19.
